Second Shooter: a photo journal template for Framer
Second Shooter is a template we made for photographers whose stories already live on an old blog: one post per wedding, elopement or place, thirty to eighty photos each. The home page opens on the newest story as one full-width photo with its title over it, then the next stories as large photo cards, and each story gets a full-width cover, its date and place, and every photo large in the text column with its caption underneath. The sample photos are from Pexels, and the stories and people in them are illustrative.

Your stories come with you
The 12 stories in the template are samples. The Blog Import plugin replaces them with yours: open the CMS, select the Stories collection and click Manage, choose the export file from your Showit blog (Showit blogs run on WordPress) or type a WordPress address, pick “2 collections, Blog and categories” and tick “Remove the 12 posts already in this collection”. A post with 50 photos comes across with 50 photos, each caption as a line under its photo and each alt text, in the same order.
Your newest 25 posts import free. A Blog Import license imports the rest: $29 for one Framer project or $59 for any number, paid once.

Check before you switch the domain
- Keep the old site online until the import is done. Images are copied from where your old blog hosts them.
- Old addresses. On Framer Pro or higher, Blog Import adds a redirect for each old post address. On Basic it gives you the old and new addresses as a CSV to add later.
- Enquiries. Set where they go in the form’s Send to setting before you publish.
